Apple Cake

1/3 Cup Water, Boiling 2 Cup Unpeeled Apples, Chopped
1 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar, Packed 1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/3 Cup Oil
1 1/4 Tsp Soda 1 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Vanilla 1/2 Tsp Cloves
1/4 Tsp Salt 3 Eggs
Nut Topping 1/3 Cup Nuts, Chopped
2 Tbl Cracked Brown Sugar  

Heat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray; dust with flour. Pour boiling water over apples in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except nut topping. Beat with mixer; scrapping bowl occassionally. Pour in to pan. Sprinkle with nut topping. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
