Red Devils Food Cake

6 Tbl Cocoa 2 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Milk 2 3/4 Cup Flour
1/4 Tsp Salt 1 Cup Water, Boiling
1/2 Cup Shortening 2 Eggs
2 Tsp Soda 1 Tsp Vanilla

Mix cocoa and water. Let cool until thick and cool. Separate egg whites then beat egg yolks and egg whites. Blend shortening and sugar, add egg yolks, cocoa, water and milk. Shift together dry ingredients and add to the above mixture, add vanilla. Mix well then fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
