Ice Box Muffin Mixture
1/2 Cup Shortening |
2 Eggs, Beaten |
2 Cup Kellogg All Bran |
1/2 Tsp Salt |
1 Cup Nabisco All Bran |
1 Cup Sugar |
1 Pint Buttermilk |
2 1/2 Cup Flour |
2 1/2 Tsp Soda |
1 Cup Water, Boiling |
Pour boiling water over nabisco bran. Let stand until cool. Cream
shortening and sugar add beaten eggs, buttermilk and kellogg all bran.
Measure flour salt and soda sift together and add to the above mixture.
Do not beat a lot. Fold in cool nabisco bran. Will last for 6 weeks in
refrigerator. Do not freeze. When ready to use, grease muffin tins well
and fill just 1/2 full. Put in jars or plastic containers and not seal
tight don't stir just put in muffin tins from the top. Bake at 350
degrees for 15 minutes.
