Devils Food Cake 1 1/2 Recipe

3/4 Cup Cocoa 2 1/4 Cup Flour
1 1/2 Tsp Soda 3/4 Cup Shortening
2 Tsp Vanilla 1 1/2 Cup Hot Water
1 Tsp Salt 3/8 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Cup Sugar 3 Eggs

Blend shortening ,sugar, eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl sift dry ingredients together, add to the first mixture and then add hot water, mixing well. Pour into cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes
