Winter Kielbasa Casserole
2 Tbl Oleo |
3/4 Cup Celery, Chopped |
3/4 Cup Beef Broth |
1/4 Tsp Hot Pepper Sauce |
3 Med Carrots, Chopped |
1 Lb Kielbasa 1 In Pieces |
1 Cup Onion, Chopped |
3 Tbl Flour |
1 Tsp Thyme, Dried |
1 Small Head Of Cabbage |
3 Med Potatoes 1/2 In., Chopped |
1 Bay Leaf |
Saute onion and celery in oleo until crisp and tender. Gradually stir in
flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in broth until smooth. Add
thyme and pepper sauce to the mixture and mix well. In a 3 quart
casserole arrange cabbage, carrots, potatoes and kielbasa, pour broth
mixture over all. Add bay leaf and cover. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45
minutes, uncover and bake 20 minutes longer, or until vegetables are
tender.
