Gingersnaps

3/4 Cup Shortening 1 Egg
2 Cup Flour 2 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp Ginger 1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Molasses 1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Cinnamon  

Cream together shortening and sugar blend well. Blend and beat well egg and molasses. Sift together dry ingredients, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Chill one hour, roll into balls, roll in sugar and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
