Toffee Pound Cake Torte
1 Cup Butter, Softened |
1/2 Cup Sugar |
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, Packed |
5 Eggs |
2 Tsp Vanilla |
2 Cup Flour |
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder |
1/2 Tsp Salt |
1/2 Cup English Toffee Chips |
Frosting |
8 Oz Whipped Topping, Frozen |
1/4 Cup English Toffee Chips |
Heat oven to 325. Grease and flour 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. In large bowl,
beat butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, add eggs 1 at
a time; beating well after each addition. Add vanilla;beat well. In
small bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to
butter mixture; beat just until smooth. Stir in english toffee chips.
Spread batter in greased and floured pan. Bake at 325 to 60 to 70
minutes, cool in pan 10 minutes remove from pan and cool completely on
wire rack. To serve frost top and sides with whipped topping. Sprinkle
with english toffee chips,. Store in refrigerator.
